I'm not trying to be funny but instead rather serious when I ask this. With no hiring and the possibility of a lot of furloughs in the industry, what good will a type rating do? If one can get money for some type of training, I would think that money would be better spent on something other than aviation.
If you can get 74-400 or A-320. All foriegn carriers including emirates and qatar, indian carriers are all hiring that's if you want to stay in flying and current until things turn around + the pay is pretty good. 10000+$ for expat pilots. Good luck
