The ERJ135s have been moving out and being replaced by 170/175s for DAL.
The CRJ contracts are ending. The aircraft were never intended to be keepers. They were all leased.
As far as any new news at Republic as of right now there is none. With the airlines hemorrhaging money due to fuel cost anything is up in the air. Anything in a press release is subject to change tomorrow. The "rumors" have been to start hiring in August but knowing this company until we get something on paper there's no reason to believe that. Once again I point to the economy. RAH is in a position. I won't say a great position but it's not in a bad position. At the moment it's treading water on the hiring and expansion but it's still making money hand over fist. Even with the loss of frontier. This is good news for the company but then again we're all a little selfish and worried about ourselves. As far as we go who knows. Everything has slowed but as of right now I don't expect to see us furloughing. Mainly because even on a good day we're still understaffed.
