My read on the industry is that this is the tip of the iceberg. Delta owns Comair, NW owns their regional, USair own two small regionals... AMR owns Eagle... then there are the Republics, TSA, Mesa's and such who will fly in anybody's colors
Dude to work for Eagle and say you don't work for a regional is about as absurd as the U-Haul driver saying he should make as much as a UPS 747 CA because they both drive for a trucking company, then giving the CA's son advice on which flight school to attend.
And NW has REGIONALS, not just one. And the largest is not owned by NW, it is a public company. It was wholly owned about 4-5 years ago tho. Sold off to fund NW's pension plan.
Please get facts straight before giving advice, and at least verify your sources....the CA you flew with last week that says, "all NW regionals are owned by NWA," or "it never snows in Florida because I have an aunt that lived there for a month" is not a very good source usually...
