While I agree, you'll feel the 8 hour reduction in your check, you'll also reap benefits by not dividing this pilot group more than it already has been.
We'll see if the "list" will ride this one out with the junior guys or will they simply write an LOA to kill that little paragraph and send the junior pilots into the worst aviation market we've seen since 9/11.
Time will only tell. I'll just bet the pilot group votes and approves and LOA to save their precious 8 hours per month. Only time will tell if the FedEx motto really is "It's all about me" or "United We Stand One and All".
The good money is on the the "it's all about me" but I can always be optimistic.
Sounds like a deal for the company, 500 pilots working one year and only making $442,000 combined.
