How does the company normally respond if you have to call in sick when and/or after you're assigned for a trip. Do they question it more?
A flight manager says this about that:
"All, we have recently had two crewmembers go sick upon assignment of a reserve trip. This results in an Irregularity Report addressed to the System Chief pilot on down and becomes a part of your record. In the future it will also result in an Advisory Letter. This is not a new policy but one that has been in effect everywhere else in the system for some time. Of course there are circumstances that arise and we are always open to discuss those on a case by case basis. Contact me if you have any questions regarding this policy."
