This is not a new policy but one that has been in effect everywhere else in the system for some time. Of course there are circumstances that arise and we are always open to discuss those on a case by case basis. Contact me if you have any questions regarding this policy."
Last September/October (can't remember when) I called in sick for a reserve trip within four hours of show. I sent a lengthly explanation (which I did NOT have to do) to my then ACP immediately after I did it explaining why I called in sick and what was going on and I got no response. It would be ironic if this was held against me sometime in the future when my ACP at the time didn't even think it was important enough to respond. Would've like at least something from him...anything from a "don't worry about it..." to "show me a doctor's note..." to "this is going in your record..." Got nothing.
