As for moving to Miami or elsewhere -- guys, I'm on the bubble if a furlough does happen...and very likely to get displaced to DFW in the near future anyhow...no way I'm spending my precious money to move somewhere!!! I'm going to invest it in a pinball machine or something useful!!

So its either use the Tripbook policy to get my 1W seat or fly other airlines. I don't know why we have such an odd policy in place for non-revving.

99.9% of mainline pilots are cool about jumpseaters from any airline too - last week trying to get out of Miami with 3 pilots (one was another airline) - the Captain pointed at all of us and said, "I'm not leaving here with any empty jumpseats - you're all getting on this plane". Those are the good guys to have. Its usually the gate agents playing the games, the crew are happy to get anybody with wings on board.

Now to check out the FedEx & UPS stuff. Never tried that before!
