Theft was never really a problem in Cincy. It was just a lack of equipment. And, oddly enough, when you have a pushback and the headset wasn't working properly, it usually isn't a problem with the headset. It usually is the airplane. When I worked the ramp on my days off, I'd find that a headset would work on 1 plane and not another. We're always quick to say that the headset is broken and just write it off at that, thats why the planes will never get fixed. Who knows if the headset jacks at the fuel panel, avionics bay, and aft equipment bay even work.
