Well, 8 months of reserve later and I am stuck in a domicile far away from home, and actually moving backwards on the CRJ seniority list due to the EMB120 guys and gals moving over to the jet side. It seems the company sees the need to freeze transfers until further hiring resumes, but keep moral high for the EMB pilots? I feel like a bathmat for the other pilots who paid their dues in the Bro. I understand my place on the seniority list. It's just that I have no moral for the immediate future, and don't understand why SKW is stuffing more pilots into the jet right now. BTW, I did bid for a transition down into the EMB, and was frozen till later this year.
You have not been around that long have you!. Things change realy fast in the airline business. Your lucky you are at a great company that looks out for its workers. 600 pilots was the plan, things change. Hang in there. SkyWest has always pushed through the hard times without a reduction in pilots. This is no different.
