I never had to spend much time on reserve, so I'm certainly not the one to comment specifically. But, go find one of the 10 -35 year employees who spent years and years on reserve, and had to have 1000's of turbine time to even get in the Metro. I believe the most junior SBA RJ captain is an 8 year employee, and on reserve. Haven't seen him complaining.

Apparently Mesa is still hiring, and it sounds like reserve is non-existent on at least the Dash. Upgrade right off IOE. Wow ! If they have a base near where you live, do you think that would be smart for you to go there ?

They do need EMB FO's, but since they aren't getting any new hires at the moment, perhaps as long as through the winter, you'd have a hard time getting trained with an EMB class.

One additional thing I'll offer. If there is movement in this industry, I can absolutely GUARANTEE that SkyWest will be one of the major players in whatever opens up.
