Ladies and Gentlemen, have you seen the news today? According to airline management for US. Airways the airplanes are landing with too much fuel on them. They need to be operated closer to the min fuel required by the FAA.
Most of the folks I fly with are pretty good at demanding more fuel if they believe they need it. Can you imagine the voice over the radio in CVG telling us we can't have extra fuel while flying around thunderstorms or in the winter? Or is that why we had an aircraft divert to Stuart the other day?
Better yet! Just wait until the gate starts calling down. Flight to IAH, or SAT, "we only fueled you to 6500lbs because we needed to get a few extra pax on."
