Not trying to start a war here, but for someone who talks so big about the Union and stuff, you sure don't know your contract. How about you open your contract and read it yourself, especially Section 24 if you are on reserve.
It may appear to you that I am all about the Union, but this is not true. It just looks that way because I am trying to point out some things to some junior guys that may not understand why the Union or the Company act the way that they do.
I am not on Reserve and I haven't been for a number of years. However, when these fuloughs happen there is a good chance that I will go back on Reserve so I want to get back into the mindset. Things have changed with the reserve language and I am going to look it over in the contract. This is just a quick source for information when I don't have the contract with me. Also beats looking at the electronic version on the website.
