Most of the jobs you are talking about are world HQ clerical, communication ect. jobs....they are not all pilot positions. No increase in the previous numbers...as far as pilots go.....looks like setting up for a merger. Remember DAL did the same type of thing while they are in the merger works with Nwa.

If merging is what UAL has in mind...smarter to cut before you merge.
