Well, thanks for asking.
I see NJAs ability to exceed 3000 pilots as a direct result of finishing the 195 million dollar training center in CMH and getting all 26 sims online. Until that happens, we can't get access to enough sim slots to do all of the type of training that we do here at NetJets.
I see the flight center beginning construction in the next 18-24 months. it will likely take a good 24 months to build and who knows about the sims... they get certified when they get certified.
4 years minimum until the center is up and riunning and our ability to hire like a major airline (1,000/yr) becomes a reality.
I think anyone truly interested in being a pilot for NJA should apply right now. It doesn't mean you will be a SIC for 7 years though. Plenty of attrition till then.
Right now, as time passes... less seniority is passing in the water going under the bridge (with current hiring numbers). When the flight center is done, the water will speed up... considerably.
Bottom line: If you like NJA, apply. I wish I would have gotten here a few years earlier. I would have skipped the whole airline thing altogether. Oh well. Got here when I did. Glad I did.
And in regards to the age limitation thing... Most of us plan on being done prior to 60. I want to be done by 50 at the latest. Good for the ancient ones... if they like it, they should stay in. I'll be on the beach.
