I don't know if that profit sharing number includes the 1% discount or not, but the percentage was negotiated downward in exchange for something else of value. Pilots were not "screwed out" of that 1%. Our negotiators were smart enough to realize that there's no real way to verify the numbers used by the company to produce the profit sharing, so they were willing to sacrifice the one percent for something more concrete...e.g. an extra thirty cents per hour.

My first post here, though I've been watching this thread progress from euphoria to melancholy over the last year or so. It seems this thread is favored by primarily junior Comair pilots who've not had a lot of experience with how this company operates...though we're all getting a taste of it now.

I've been with Comair for more than six years, but less than eight - to give you an idea where I come from. I've seen this company do the right thing for a year or two after the strike, and I've seen the company do a lot of wrong things over the last four years. I've experienced a lot of the same rollercoaster ride many of you are going through right now. I wish all of you the best.

I joined this board with the intent to ask if any 50 First Officers wanted to take a CVG one-day on Aug 22, but after joining, I realized I can't receive PM's until I make 25 posts...which I really don't have time to do before the 22nd.

If anyone is interested, details are here .

Keep your heads up everyone. While this industry, and company, doesn't appear to have a particularly bright future, the upside is that it's really not very difficult at all for First Officers (at least) to replace their income outside this industry if they have an education.
