Scenario:
A pilot is on his/her last day off before starting a string of R24 days in 10 hours. Pilot logs onto VIPS to check open time and sees the "crew notification" prompt. Instead of clicking on the notification tab, pilot checks calander and sees a trip assignment with a showtime of 22:30 hours out (clearly less than 24). Pilot logs off. Scheds has not called either of two phone numbers to verbally notify pilot of trip assignment.

Is pilot considered notified and responsible to operate trip?
