Why not use the $$ already paid to the sims for the 60 captains who have to go through differences training for the 70?
note: I don't want anyone furloughed.....but when the company spends $$ in wasteful ways that I can see, how bad are they on the items i can't see?
My thought is that they are still somewhat hopeful that we will get some flying, after all Comair is the reserve airline. If they complete training then they wont have to go through all of it over again the next time around. Allows them to ramp everything up quicker. Maybe?
