I don't see the logic behind the new vacancy bid. There are already 20 more captains than FO's on the 70/90 and they need 37 more captains and 14 more FO's. So that means we will have new totals of 219 captains and 176 FO's. Not to mention the minimum number of FO's they say they need is 180. My guess, and one other nameless person who is banned at the moment, that is probably on top of the difference training that was canceled last month for the FO's. So who knows....
I caution everyone this.....the last time Delta told Comair to ramp up for more flying, Delta pulled the rug out from under everyone and we went from hire to furlough in one conference call. So keep your expectations in check.
