Please don't get it twisted. NWA pilots are not "stoked" or "happy to be part of the family." We bring things to the table and are giving up things as well. The last I checked, YOU were getting a pay raise as well, and just because you interpret NWA pilots to be getting more of a raise, the last I checked, it is not your money to give. This is a marriage, not an adoption.
Get over yourself. If you think you will be dealing with a passive pilot group, thankful to be able to wear "the" double breasted jacket, you are wrong. I and many of my peers are proud to have been Northwest Airlines pilots. If you respect us, you will get it in return. I will even buy the beers. I already owe DAL two.
Maybe the happiness you see from NWA pilots is actually hope that in the future we can join with our fellow pilots to get this profession back to where it should be.

Dead on, mostly a sad morning in here in NRT.......no toasts, just slogging on towards what lies ahead, like a column of grunts headed for the front and the sound of the guns.
Best of luck to us all..........any rumors on the SLI? Maybe now that the vote is in, the news blackout will be lifted a little.
