We better. What would your NO vote have done? Talked to anyone on the MEC personally about that? Have you ever negotiated something for ALPA? Better, have you seen the business plan that was hidden from everyone apparently that was the Benefits of a NO vote Business plan?

I guess the NO vote was the "We'll get 'em this time.......right................

OK... so you are tellin me that you cannot go from NY to SFO on NWA... or NY to LAX.. or MSP to MCO on DAL... IS that what you are saying? I think there is a LOT more than you guys realize. Oh sure, you won't have to hub thru ATL on NWA, or MSP on DAL, but the result is EXACTLY the same. Think about it...

I don't know what the no vote mentality was, nor do I really care. Besides which, what makes you think I voted no? Because I question the package? It's nobody's business how I voted, but I do see both sides of the issue. I guess I could argue either way, but in my 17 years at DAL we have had only 1... ONE non-concessionary contract. I guess that will be all I will ever see too. And to answer your question.. yes, I have talked to the MEC reps. I have been to HQ in Hooterville and talked to them personally. And no I have not ever negotiated something for ALPA. Have you? I would be more than happy to renegotiate prater's new "contract" though when DAL holds 1/4 of the voting popwer at national. Talk about "Taking it Back"... The rest of your question regarding whether I have or have not seen any of the business plan is asinine. YOU haven't seen it either, yet you blindly follow without asking questions that are easily "answered"..

Truth be told, I'd rather Lee have Prater's job any day of the week. In a former life, I did sit in parts of negotiations. However, I was on the other side of the table. I don't blindly follow but I do ask questions as it appears you have. The problem is that due to SEC regulations and SarbOx rules, there is only so much anyone who has seen the plan can divulge. At this point, I have to trust that the very people who are going to live under what they negotiate for me will act accordingly.

Yah.. I trust them to a certain extent too. And I am sure that there is nothing that I (or anyone else for that matter) can ask in an open forum that they haven't thought of, and if they didn't by some miracle would change their mind or affect the negotiations anyway. So I guess that's why the forumites are catagorized as a vocal (albeit toothless) minority of malcontents. I guess the good thing about the forum is that it lets the negotiators and powers that be (whose jobs aren't as secure as Prater's) that not everybody blindly follows without question. I don't know about SEC or Sarbox or Robert's rules for that matter, and what's more, I don't care. I'm just a line dog whose about to watch from the sidelines as 3 government weasels will decide an issue that affects the rest of my career, and there isn't a damn thing I can do about it. What I CAN do something about is start a grassroots organization to go after ALPA national to get rid of the deadwood up there, and now that we are the 12,000 lb gorilla on the block, they better damn well be listening. Take It Back starts at home... Are you listening Prater?
