We just voted in 6 to 8 years of bankruptcy wages. I predict in 4 years you wont be able to find a single pilot wha admits he voted yes.

Yeah, but if you look at it that way then only roughly 30% voted NO, so it's a strong mandate.

I think that's fuzzy math. Show me a BANKRUPTCY contract where they're making the new wages.

I voted YES. I won't regret this decision for this simple reason: I felt that when analyzing all available information, the economic climate of the airline industry and U.S. in general (through August 8 when I cast my vote), and the negatives associated with the unknown, I simply could not cast a NO vote. I voted based on all of the information I had at the time and made my decision. I can't regret what in my opinion was an educated decision.

Also, time will tell but do you really think that LCC, UAL, AMR, et al., are going to be light years ahead of us. UAL is languishing in the mud, LCC doesn't even know who to negotiate with and AMR is swimming the tide of mediocrity through their management. We are merging the two healthiest networks, with next to no overlap, and an extensive worldwide presence.

That said, in four years from now, I will want mine. We have given management the tools they need to make this all possible. Now the ball is in their court.

Here's hoping for no fisticuffs when it comes to SLI.
