I did not mean to imply that, On Autopilot. I was attempting to reinforce what I'd written earlier that pilots who unintentionally allow contract violations because of "contract ignorance" reduce the company's need to hire and/or retain pilots.
Recently on the ad-hoc ALPA replacement board, one of us posted a mantra about not picking up any open time as soon as the first furlough occurs. I support this, but that said, pilots accepting illegal assignments unknowingly have an equal or greater impact on staffing levels.
