Back to my original statement. Captains that are nervous usually have a good excuse for being so. When you or if you ever upgrade, you will find out exactly what I mean the first time you take a number down because your FO did something retarded.

Wow man... that’s a pretty bold statement. I'm actually rather sad that you have such animosity in your palate to unfairly judge another. I personally know Andy, and your statement is rather inappropriate. He's the last pilot you have to worry about violating a FAR or operating in an unsafe manner.

Just out of curiosity. When does this magical "new hire" stereotype wear off?
1 year? 2 years? 5 years? If Comair was upgrading captains, and I have the necessary time requirements to upgrade, do you think my promotion would be hindered because I have less than a year with the company? We were all "new hires" at one point or another, and we've all done something "retarded" at one point or another. Nevertheless, weather we get hired with 250 hours, or 25,000 hours, none of us are beyond the point that we can’t learn from each other.
