TSA is not permitted to open any aircraft doors, nationwide. They are permitted to enter an aircraft that was left open, but they are not to operate any levers, handles, etc to gain access to an aircraft.
When was the last time TSA adhered strictly to the rules? Some believe they are above the law and can do whatever they want in the name of security.
