Airwillie reminds me of Farva in Supertroopers! Bottom line is that the facts have been in for sometime, and nothing the gojets guys say is going to change the universal truth....they are nothing more than CONTRACT WORKERS, a real pilot would never do what they've done and continue to do to the TSA guys.

So lets recap (after how many pages now?), gojets = no jumpseat, no respect from the rest of the industry, and gamble with your career.

If you're referring to me as a member of the "unholy trinity", that's clever but I don't think I have disagreed about why GoJet was created. I do, however, disagree with people saying they are hurting the industry based on their current contract.

As far as your blanket statements about no jumpseat and no respect from the rest of the industry, you are just flat out wrong. A GJer might occasionally get denied a jumpseat and may frequently not get any respect from regional pilots. As far as mainline pilots go, many don't give a damn about this little regional airline squabble. While jumpseating as a TSA pilot, hardly any of the mainline guys knew who TSA was, let alone GJ. Additionally, I would venture to say the majority of pilots who have been around the block a while dont visit internet forums like these and are way over caring about this petty stuff. I don't know that for a fact, but it's the impression I've gotten after talking to lots of guys who've been around a while.

I understand that you justify what you did for yourself, but you have to know that no TSA guy will ever see it your way. That, ultimately, will be what gets you in the end.
I have personally talked to plenty of TSA and ex-TSA guys that don't really care that much about the GJ crap. To them it's over. Working line at my local airport, a guy flew in in a Navajo and needed a ride somewhere so I drove him where he needed to get to. We were chatting and I find out he's ex-TSA and I ask him how he feels about GoJet. He asked "are they union now?" I said "yeah, but they're Teamsters." He felt that if they're union now and there's jobs there to be had, he wouldn't see any reason not to go there. Since TSA he's gotten a Chief Pilot job at a 135 operation and would be pretty involved in hiring decisions I imagine.

Point is, you dont speak for all the guys at TSA. I have been actively seeking out opinions from airline guys and non-airline guys about their opinions of GJ. I don't sugarcoat the story when they don't know who GJ is. End result is that the overwhelming majority would take a job there in my position. The other result is that a lot of non-airline guys and former airline guys find the whole argument to be retarded and childish.

I know nobody will agree with this but since I'm a furloughed TSA guy and supposedly that's GoJet's fault, why should it be so wrong for me to use them for a job until I potentially get called back at TSA? Because if I don't then GJ will cease to exist and I'll get my job back at TSA sooner? Give me a break. I don't live in that dream world. You would claim that me going to GJ would be selfish, but your reasons for not wanting me to go there are just as selfish. We both want to work less for more. Add to my reasons the fact that my career is currently going nowhere by pumping fuel at the local airport while you continue to gain hours and experience. So you're screwing with my career because you don't want me to keep you from getting more money. This whole elitist attitude among regional pilots is somewhat humorous considering we're all at the bottom of the totem pole.
