I must not understand basic math.
No, you don't. C has 48 gates all belonging to Comair (15 70 seat gates). A has 23 gates (21 only operated by Comair, 2 being shared with DL for their charters) + 4 other gates (2 NW and 2 CO). B has 28 gates (not all are operational, ie B14).

To answer someone else's question about the tower, they will not be losing anyone. They are already running 3 lines down, which will most likely not be filled. They will transition to operate out of the B tower and/or will open the A tower (it is currently an emergency operations/coordination center for the airport).

The shuttle department will not entirely go away. But it will be scaled back to just a few employees. The rest will have the option to transfer to another CS position or take a buyout package.

Gate A1 was blocked off today due to employee briefing/meetings given by Tim Zeis. One in the AM for the AM shift and one at 1730 for the PM shift.
