Agreed. I guess CAL took an over simplistic route by configuring all A/C the same...with just 2 classes. Thereby any tail number within a fleet type could be used on any route. All 777's the same...all 767-200's etc. Combining F/C and B/C has worked really well.......seems to be something customers are willing to pay for........and for loyal customers...a nice upgrade. Not good for non-revs though. Usually, if you can even get on a plane.......in the back....way back.
