Pilots ratifying a contract has NOTHING to do with the approval of a merger. The merger will happen REGARDLESS of what the pilots do with the contract. And unless the majority of the stockholders are PILOTS, then we don't have a say in whether or not the merger will happen.
Right on, look at the America West and US Airways merger. That went through 3 years ago and they are still on seperate contracts. The seniority integration is one of the reasons they are so divided and dropped ALPA.
