Default Comair execs in MSP, merger with Compass

I just heard a rumor that Comair execs were in MSP either today or yesterday discussing a potential merger with Compass. Has anyone heard anything about this?

Yeah..

I heard it about it. It's basically a done deal. The two companies are waitign for DOT approval. The papers have been filed - at least that's what a check airman told me.

It might be more effecient in the long run to put the wholly-owned units under one roof. But there are some downsides...

-Different airplanes means minimal savings on overhead.

-Loss of whipsaw.

Yeah that's why they just entered into a lease and moved into their new offices in Eagan last week. Nice rumor but no.

That mean nothing trust me! CVG is downsizing drastically after this merger is through.(Hints why concourse C is closing) They very well may move the HQ to Eagan. With that said I have only heard the W/O will be run by a holding company.

That is almost as funny as a real merger. Just think about it for a second. One, since when did Comair get a managment team. Two, why would Compass or NWA/DAL-seeing that they are calling the shots, even want Comair. What do they have to offer. And three, well there is no three, there doesn't even need to be a one or a two for that matter. It will never happen.

In that case, it'd be a matter of public record and all over the financial news sites. I call BS.
