I dont think it is necessarily the checking out thing. The problem is no one is logging landings. I never check out but always log my landing from home and I have never received the letter. Landings must be logged to maintain your currency with the company or they will have to send you back to the sim.
I have always logged all of my landings and still got a letter... Plus, how do they know who performed the landing?? I have had retarded captains that just check out and log all the landings not knowing any better or caring... it doesnt matter to me as long as I have 3 logged in 90 days... which isnt going to matter much in about a month anyway.
