Okay folks, who agrees with me here
ALPA's recent email might have just pushed me over the edge. Their constant doom and gloom and paranoia towards the big bad "MANAGEMENT" (whoever that is) is doing us absolutely no good, and its wasting our time and dues. Read the latest email sent out this morning before this post.
First of all, are they promoting illegal behavior? The supposed "spy" camera, known in normal reality as a security camera, caught people doing illegal things and <gasp> they were punished! Oh no! Just what the hell is ALPA trying to say? They are against security patrols and hope people don't get caught stealing headsets out of flight bags? The paragraph starts out that all Cincinnati pilots are living some sort of nightmare. I am a Cincinnati pilot, and the only nightmare that I'm living has 4 letters, starting and ending with A.
Secondly, according to ALPA, the recent windstorm knocking out power and telephone lines was an evil plot by "MANAGEMENT" to get your phone number? Come on people. Anyone that believes that should be hit in the head with a pork belly. Some of the phones were out, and a resourceful person had the idea to use the Epic employee directory to find some alternate numbers for people in the building. This wasn't "MANAGEMENT" trying to collect personal information from the pilot group, and only the pilot group. It was a company trying to run a business with limited resources. The email from corp comm even said it wasn't affecting the SOCC, so we shouldn't have been affected by it at all.
Doesn't it bother anyone that the only thing they said about furloughes is that you'll be covered on a sub-standard federal health plan that is law. They mention nothing about furlough reduction attempts.
Rant over, fire away.
