As much as I hate to agree with paxhauler85, he is right, though. A lot of people think (myself included not too long ago), that IF Mesa would go under we would get a bunch of flying, more airplanes, hire more pilots. You have to remember that Delta has other regional carriers and contractual obligations with them, which means they would be the first in line to get the flying and airplanes to fulfill their contract, and we have all seen what happens when they break the contract. As much as it sucks, we are just here as a "reserve", because we are owned by Delta. They can give us and take away as much flying as they want. Lately I have been debating if I should be optimistic and hope this place will turn around, or if I should just accept the fact that Comair is going down the drain and eventually be liquidated by Delta. I am leaning towards the latter.

I think with the closure of Concourse C and all the cutbacks in flying in CVG, not only Comair but also mainline, it is only a sign of things to come once the merger is complete. As much as I hate to speculate, but I see Cincinnati become a ''focus city" for Delta, just like Boston. I doubt they will close down Cincinnati all together, but I could see CVG close as a Delta crew domicile.

Also, I have been curious as to what they are doing in the employee parking lot in CVG. I have heard it is suppose to become an overflow parking lot for rental cars in the middle, while the outside circle will remain employee parking. True?
You are correct and I have been saying this for the past 3 years.
