I like Baroque very much and classical chamber music in general but can't call myself a fan just for that. I like Bach-Telemann-Handel and anyone else of that era. They were sort of the jazz musicians of the 18th century. I am a trained musician who specializes in chamber-style jazz improvisation or "small combo" jazz. My mother is classical lover and played concert classical piano to a fairly high level at one point, but it did not rub off on me. I keep a digital Hammond B-3 in the living room and play that when I am not flying and love music although I would not want to pursue it professionally. The jazz industry runs to the sordid in terms of working conditions, which is why I got out of it.
