OK - last attempt on this point and then I will give up. I promise. Delta will not negotiate, either directly or indirectly, with the Comair MEC. To do so would put them at risk of losing the seperate Comair operating certificate and violate the principles of "single carrier" in the minds of folks like the NMB. Comair management negotiates with Comair MEC and that is it period. Delta is not going to put themselves in a position where they are forced to merge with Comair because they were stupid enough to "negotiate" with the Comair pilots. Those are the facts.

Which if you believe all that, and I do, means that the MEC was not telling the truth about what really happened. Hard to believe, I know, that they would misrepresent something to the membership. Why would they come up with a story like that? Because they actually came down from some ridiculous demand and that is what broke the deadlock? And they could not tell the membership something like that, so they come up with a story that discredits the current management? Who knows? But I really do believe that their is lots of koolaid on both sides and don't buy anything either of them says 100%. Now I am done, I have made my point.
