How can a CFI with less than published mins earn an interview with his personality? I have 50% more than published mins, as well as ten years of management experience and I didn't get called. Something on the resume has to win an interview before they even get a real peek at your personality. Sure, personality might win you a job, but qualifications win you an interview - I think. A post above said that everyone he interviewed with had 121 experience????
What should those of us who got that letter do? Should we re-apply after we have ATP mins? From posts above it is clear that many current FOs at Mesaba were hired with far less than what I have now, so what earns a phone call? I know times are different than they were last year, but not if you are correct in saying that they might hire flight instructors at published mins or under!
I could be wrong but some of you guys (furlughed 121) want the jet and may come off cockey, I dont know the magic number of getting the job. Have a good attitude and see what happens.
