Default The bottom line.

Bedford has decided to take a course of action that will put hundreds of folks out on the street and possibly signal the end of Midwest Airlines. There are folks on this forum that insist that it's ok because the deal is profitable and that's his job. Apparently morality is not part of the job, and those who support his decision are supporting the demise of the profession.

Anyone who thinks that the management at RAH is not directly responsible for lowering the bar (once again) on account of this transaction, clearly does not understand the long term impact to the industry as whole, much less to the hundred's of people that will be furloughed.

Defending a management team that advocates profit at the expense of the employees at Midwest is no different than supporting Frank Lorenzo or J.O. and their idea of a profitable airline model.

This deal (if it goes through) will affect this industry for years to come.
