Seems logical. The 737-200 is a dinosaur, and there are very few left. These will be easy to get rid of. There are quite a few MD-88's. I agree that these should leave the fleet as soon as practical, but it seems like Delta needs some more 737-800's to replace these. Unless they are planning on replacing them with 70+ seat RJ's .

The problem I see is with the 767's. Delta is the largest operator of Boeing 767's in the world. Even after selling many to ABX and Hawaiian. They currently have 100+ 767's. Since Delta is expanding internationally, I don't know how they can fly internationally without their 767's (Only 8 777's, and a few 787's on order). I think Delta should keep their 767's. They are compatible with the 757's in many respects. I just can't see Delta give up their 767's in the near future.
