You see, I don't think that's a contradiction at all. I am a conservative pilot who is also a strong supporter of our union. What I am supporting is a union that works for my brothers and sisters, takes care of those who need help and also negotiates with the company on our behalf.
What I am against is unions that support one party only, or frankly that support any political party. It's one thing to be supporting your brothers and sisters but a totally different thing to be attempting to turn this great country into a socialist corpse.
There are many ardent supporters of unions who just cannot believe some pilots don’t want to vote the ‘democratic’ ticket as it’s called here but would be called ‘social-democratic’ or simply ‘socialist’ across the pond.
They and apparently you too feel that would be against their interests - I totally disagree and am glad I’m not alone.
