They are not leaving Comair. If the wording says "upon leaving Comair..." then why should they have to pay early? To be fair, Comair should eat the cost, or defer payment until the pilot is recalled.
But to do what is fair and what Comair does are hardly similar.
Is each furloughed pilot being paid his accrued vacation time for 2008 and 2009?
