Hey Kansas, I hear ya brotha. Pay could always be better and in most cases we do deserve to be paid better. The way I see it, for a single guy like me, if you earn pay that forces you to live like you're still in college, then why not enjoy a couple more years of the college lifestyle, minus the boring classes and studying, but with all the fun of flying with a great bunch of people, such as the pilot group I've heard Great Lakes has?
It is a good time, and I've enjoyed spending the past few years hearing some of the funniest stories from the goofiest people I've ever known. Heck, I've even made a few memories myself. That said, it's easy to start at this airline in one situation (i.e. young and single) and leave it in another (i.e. married, maybe even with children). This changes one's perspective on life a great deal. Just something to prepare yourself for.
