From what i understand the training for the 900 is a lot easier. Its a self based computer program where you take the weekly tests whenever your ready. Plus the aircraft itself is highly automated. But as stobelma was saying (i think) if you just pay attention in ground school, and study no one should have much trouble in Saab training.
You're wrong on the weekly tests and doing it whenever you are ready, you have to take a quiz after every single module you do and it has to be done by that day. Sure you can work ahead but it all depends on how familiar you are with the aircraft and it is for both the CRJs, not just the CRJ 900. As for how hard it is between the saab and the CRJ, it kind of depends on the individual I think, a lot of really does come down to study hard, work hard and relaxing when you can.
