I got my training date changed to one that worked better with my schedule. First called training scheduling. They said they could not move date since I had bid and gotten awarded the date that I had, I would have to call a chief pilot.
BEFORE I CALLED the chief pilot I did a bit of homework. I looked through the line awards to get some idea of how many people had been awarded the day that I wanted. The bid packet originally had opening for 8ca/8fo each day mon-fri. The day I wanted was showing about 5 ca that had been awarded that day. Therefore I knew they couldn't object on those grounds.
Then I called the CP and explained the situation and he got the day moved for me. No real big deal.
I did the training and there were probably 13 people there. Instructor indicated the largest class had been 15. There were seats available for at least 16, maybe 20 don't remember. If there were more people they could probably pull in more chairs.
Class started at 9, ordered pizza in so lunch was short, were done by 1 with the TLR portion but then there was a presentation about, ummm, I forget. Something about flaps being extended before taking the runway. Don't remember exactly. Were released by 2 or so.
