Hey, you were right and I was wrong. Turns out it will protect your ticket under some certain circumstances. I hope you never have to test it like xj200 had to.
In the interest of peace

, will you concede that it will not protect you if "the violation did not involve a criminal offense, or accident. or action under 49 U.S.C. Section 44709 which discloses a lack of qualification or competency, which is wholly excluded from this policy" (your post)
Look up the NTSB definitions of accident, substantial damage, and injury.
- it is an accident if you manuever the aircraft and the flight attendant falls and breaks her hip or arm or whatever;
- it can be an accident if you have a tail strike or a hard landing
There are lots of things that can be called accidents. And what about that violation that "discloses a lack of qualification or competency". Do you want to sit in a room for 7 months with lawyers trying to decide if your decision to abort a takeoff for a status message during a heavy rainstorm demonstrated a lack of competency?
I just think it is a shame that rather than grieve this, the MEC decided to withdraw from the program, poke DS in the eye. Wonder why we have a bunch of Comair aircraft sitting in remote? Where are the other DCI carriers planes? Oh, they are flying.
