This is also why the company probably hasn't offered a legit buy out for the senior guys. They simply don't need it. Once the merger happens they will just close Comair and get rid of a very senior pilot group. They have already written off the cost of Comair so I can't really see why they would keep us around.
What you are saying does not make much sense. I understand your frustration with what is going on with the company now. But why would you think that Delta would just close Comair because they are paying a few senior guys top dollars. It would be a lot less expensive for Delta to buy the senior pilots out even if they had to pay them their career potential earnings.
