Going 14+ days is a good achievement, especially with the troubles we have been having. It means that, through the rough times that all of the departments are having (there are more people that are getting pay cuts/lay offs/etc than just pilots), we can still operate an airline.
Ouch, way to smack your brothers when they're down. Yeah, the consensus from furloughed pilots is that Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day should all be canceled. Thank God you're a pilot and not a grief counselor.

I think the tone of everyone's feelings is that the company patting itself on the back (for a rather un-significant accomplishment considering the pull-down in flying) is rather inappropriate considering the number of people (pilots, rampers, GO staff, janitors etc) no longer employed by Shrinkair.

As far as pointing out that there are more than just pilots losing jobs, isn't that pointing out the obvious? Last time I checked, this is predominantly a pilot message board...not Airline Back Office Support Staff Central. Most of the conversations regarding job losses will probably be about pilots.

I sincerely hope that you never have to walk a mile in a someone else's furlough shoes.
