When you see a check airman with a 95 hour line, it may be due to the fact that they did a whole trip of line checks which can be very productive since you're just jumpseating around the system for 4 days, or they have other duties assigned that added line value.

All of our check airman are ALPA pilots and are held to the same standards as the other pilots. I haven't heard of any check airman picking up open time. If you hear of one picking up open time, I would report it to your reps and they will be "spoken to" like any other pilot would.
Does it matter what the line is made up of if he or she is an ALPA pilot like the rest of us? Shouldn't their line be built under the max line value just like the rest of us?
