Currently NWA operates 16 747-400's with no plans to remove them from the fleet. DAL likes the fact this AC can haul over 400 pax well over 7000 miles. Don't expect to see additional airframes but no loss' either. New destinations look to be ATL/San Paulo, ATL/Tel Aviv. The south flying in NRT will be around for awhile as there is no good way to run US/NRT and make a turn in 24 hours...... LAX/NRT and SEA/NRT are being looked at to be run by 767. Look for around 200 training events for 2009 in the -400 with it being a 50/50 split FO/PIC.

747-200 hours are planned to be reduced by reported amounts. Expect to see DAL equipment in NWA bases and vice versa within a few months of DCC. DC-9 being looked at for the shuttle operation, 320's out of CVG, SLT/NRT being considered, DC-9 to stay around and no additional reductions (that he was aware of). CVG and MEM are still planned as bases/hubs for the combined airline.

Guess thats is for now...... Back to the books.
Thanks for the update. Have fun in school. I heard the toughest thing about the -400 is learning how to operate the heater in the crew bunks.
