I went to the Luncheon today with Slevaggio. Soaper and Briner were also present. Overall, it was actually a pleasant meeting with not too many negatives. I didn't drink the company kool-aid and I'm only going to report on what I have heard. A few other APC members were present at the meeting as well. The majority of attendees were F/Os, but most of the questions came from Captains.
  • I was happy to hear is that there no plans right now with merging with Mesaba or Compass. They might look into it further down the road in 2-3+ years.
  • Once again, the UAL flying was mentioned, and there might be a chance that we could see some in the future. It would be 50 seat flying, as UAL is limited by scope on 70 seat JETS! However, there is no scope on 70 seat PROPS, so they have mentioned Q400s for UAL.
  • Talked a bit about the integration of wholly owned carriers after the merger. As of right now, everyone will continue to operate separately.
  • Cost structures were mentioned between other DCI carriers, and that obviously Comair is one of the highest ones, due to our senior pilot group.
  • Profit sharing checks will be distributed next week, should be between 3-4%.
That's about what I can remember, maybe some of the other guys can add to the list.
