OA,
Not trying to be negative....But our business model for growth only happens if 1) mesa doesn't win their court case and or 2) if they go out of business....There are several large holes with that model.
A) what happens if Mesa both wins their lawsuit and gets another line of credit? That means both Delta and United will have to wait until the contract expires in 2011 I think.
B) We are still Delta's most expensive wholly owned regional. Why would they want to pay more? Notice all the other "promised" flying being shifted away?
C) Delta still has contracts with ASA/Skywest, Republic, Pinnacle to name a few. Why do we expect that if mesa did lose or go out of business that Delta wouldn't fill its obligations with those other companies.
I'm not trying to tell people the sky is falling, but I am stating not to pin all your hopes on the outcome of this Mesa/Freedom mess.
