I got a quick question. I'm on reserve for November and got assigned a trip starting Thanksgiving day. What are my options for getting rid of this trip? I recently got engaged and was going to celebrate with my family and hers. I bid for Thanksgiving off but obviously didn't get it. I'll work the trip if I can't drop it somehow but I want to at least try. I thought about talking to a CP and explaining my situation and asking for personal leave. Not sure how that works, and I don't know if that would fly on a holiday but I figure its worth a shot and I hope the CP will be sympathetic. If not, I guess we'll just wait til Xmas to celebrate with our families, if i get off. lol
